Jake and Susie

Susie and I are friends and work together in the NICU. I was so excited to photograph her, her husband and their fur babies. They invited my own family to come with me for the photo session, since the barn has other horses, kitties and lots of places to run around. Before our session, they walked us around the farm to feed carrots to the horses and to chase the new kittens that are newest members of the farm. It was a beautiful night, with a gorgeous sky. We had a great session, even though, I was slightly shocked by touching an electrical fence.  Both the horse I was petting and myself, were jolted by the little shock (ha, ha). Susie and Jake were so fun to photograph, and we spent most of the session catching up and sharing lots of laughs.

WELCOME

I’m a mama to five (two boys, a girl, and fraternal twin girls). I can’t even put into words the depth of my love for my family, but they are the light in my soul. Our life is hectic and chaotic but it’s in these messy, tiresome days, that I fall in love with my family more and more each day. I’m not a morning person, and never have been; but being a night owl helped me settle into my role as a nightshift NICU nurse, where I spend 3 shifts a week taking care of sweet babies. I began my odyssey into photography as a way to capture my own family and children and preserve the memories of them; little did I know it would turn into my passion and a career.
