The Bullock Family

Welcome to sunflower season! I am friends and work with the mama of this sweet family.
When she asked me to take her family photos, I was thrilled! There is a nearby sunflower field
in Nokesville, VA that has a sunflower field twice a year, once in the summer and once in the
fall, usually, pending on their season and crop. It’s a wonderful place with your pick your own
flowers and plenty of places to hide amongst some of the tallest sunflowers. We chose a
sunset session for the Bullock family which gave us a beautiful cotton candy colored sky as the
backdrop. What it gave too much of, was mosquitos. I think I lost count after 20 but it was
worth it to capture this sweet little family.

WELCOME

I’m a mama to five (two boys, a girl, and fraternal twin girls). I can’t even put into words the depth of my love for my family, but they are the light in my soul. Our life is hectic and chaotic but it’s in these messy, tiresome days, that I fall in love with my family more and more each day. I’m not a morning person, and never have been; but being a night owl helped me settle into my role as a nightshift NICU nurse, where I spend 3 shifts a week taking care of sweet babies. I began my odyssey into photography as a way to capture my own family and children and preserve the memories of them; little did I know it would turn into my passion and a career.
